Family

My dad is 84 years old now so I try to visit him and my sister at least once a year. Last year I got to see him when I went to Terry's wedding. I enjoy visiting my family and I wish that I had more vacation time so that I could do it more often. This year's visit coincided with Rick's wedding

While I was in Connecticut I decided to take a drive past the house that I grew up in when I was a kid. Mrs. Kondratovitch, who lived next door to us, still lives in the same house. When I passed by I noticed that the door was open so I stopped to say hello. Her son Al, who was a year younger than me, lives in the same house that he grew up in and helps take care of his mom. I had a good time talking to both of them.

I also got to see Terry's family while I was in Connecticut.

Rick and Laurie's Wedding

Rick's wedding was at the Tashua Country Club where I worked at the town pool one summer. At first it looked like it might rain, but the weather ended up being perfect for a Wedding, warm but not too hot. Rick and Laurie had an outside wedding. The service was simple but very enjoyable.

Wedding Reception

Rick invited all of his old friends from high school and I think that this was the first time since Rick's first wedding that all of us were together. Most of us, except Greg, had gotten together at our high school reunion. Most of my friends from high school still live on the east coast and many of them still live in Connecticut.

I had a great time at the reception. I actually got to talk to Rick for a while (usually the groom is too busy) and it was good to see the old group. I was especially happy to see Greg since I hadn't seen him in over 20 years. I got to see Ken, Paul, Rick and Terry last year at Terry's wedding, but seeing everyone once a year isn't enough. I definitely need more vacation time.

Brunch

The day after Rick's wedding a bunch of us decided to have lunch together. Paul was going to try to make it, but he lives quite far (my Connecticut standards) to Trumbull. Greg choose a place to eat that was located very close to my grandfather's old pharmacy. Unfortunately,I had a plane to catch in the early afternoon so I didn't get to spend as much time with everyone as I wanted to
