Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving 1999 at Nancy's
I just finished driving over 350 miles from Phoenix Az to L.A. California.
I've been on the road a lot lately. A little over a week ago I flew
out to Ohio to see Greg Tanner. I got back Monday night and had to
be in at work early Tuesday morning. I got to work on Tuesday to
spend a bunch of time trying to install software on to my new computer
only to find out that the Help Desk people hadn't done anything with my
broken computer. I had my Java class at UCLA Tuesday night.
I ended up staying late helping a student and even later because I forgot
my keys and couldn't lock up the class room. Fortunately Wed. was
a short day at work and we managed to get on the road by 4:30. Unfortunately
we hit a lot of holiday traffic so we didn't get to Nancy's until after
2am.
We had a great time at Thanksgiving. Nancy bought a deep fried
turkey which had been injected with Cajun seasoning - it was delicious
although I don't think that any of us eat the minimum 3lbs of turkey that
Nancy demanded. We left Saturday morning and got back at about 3:30.
One of these days I will try to make these web pages look nice, but I will
be off to Milpedas on Tuesday and won't be back until Thursday. This
weekend is Sally's birthday weekend and after that I'll probably have a
lot of Christmas stuff to do so I guess I'll just put these pictures on
the Web and hope that I can get back to it later. These pictures
were taken with the digital camera that Nancy, Lee and Dad got me for my
birthday. The battery died while I was on the trip so I didn't take
as may pictures as I wanted to and some of the pictures aren't that flattering.
I'll try to do better next time.
