The Ranch
The Paramount
Ranch is located in the Santa Monica Mountains, between the west San Fernando
Valley and Malibu. It has been the location for many western
movies including: "Gunfight at the OK Corral", "The Virginian"
and Reds.
These
are pictures from a hike that Sally and I took at Paramount Ranch on Deb 2,
2002. Before we went on the hike Sally and I stopped at a Mexican restaurant
for lunch. Even though it was the 2nd of February it was warm enough to eat
outside on the restaurant patio. We had been to Paramount Ranch before so we
didn't spend much time looking that the studio lot. The hike that we took headed
up the Santa Monica mountains and in some places was rather steep. We took one
trail all the way to it's end and then followed it back. Since we still had
some time left we decided to walk along a different path which followed a stream
that runs through the park.
