Japanese American National Museum

Emiko and I went to see the Japanese American Museum in September of 2003. Emiko is Japanese American. Her father moved to American before World War II. When the war started he was sent to a concentration camp and after the war he was deported to Japan. At large part of the museum is dedicated to the atrocities inflicted upon Americans of Japanese decent during World War II. Unfortunately photographs are prohibited in the most emotional parts of the museum. Part of the Museum of Modern Art (MOCA) is located near the Japanese American Museum and Emiko and I went to visit it as well.
