I've been to Paris a number of times now and so I decided to create a page to easily access all of my trips there.

Paris France

Winter 2000

This was my first trip to Paris. This was a business trip and I went with Ron Traver, his wife Georgia and Tom Chappelle. We spent most of our time working, but Ron made sure that we had some free time to spend viewing the city.

Fall 2000

This was another business trip to Paris. Tom wasn't able to got on this trip because he had to have eye surgury so it was me, Ron and Wally Scott. I didn't have as much free time on this trip, but I took an extra day at the end of it to see Versaille and the Louvre.

Spring 2002

During the Spring break Randy and I went to Paris. This was a great trip. We spent 8 days in Paris, which meant that we had enough time to see quite a bit of the city. We got to see most of the major sights of Paris and spring is one of the best times to visit Paris so this was one of my favorite trips to Paris.

Winter 2003

During Winter break Randy and I went to visit Paris again. One of the great things about this trip was that a number of my French coworkers who had been living in the US had moved back to Paris which meant that Randy and I could visit people and see how people in France lived. This was a shorter trip and in the winter time, so it wasn't as good as our trip in 2002 but we enjoyed it a lot. We got to see a number of museums that we hadn't see on our first trip and we relaxed more and got to see Paris beyond the typical tourist sites.

Summer 2003

Sally and I had planned a trip to Italy for our 20th anniverisary but our plans fell through. Alcatel had a shutdown in August and I was forced to take my vacation then. Sally had never been to Paris and wanted to go so we took a short vacation to Paris. Since I had been to Paris a number of times I convinced Sally to let me see some of the sites I hadn't seen instead of revisiting all of the top tourist sites. Even though this trip was a bit too short we had a great time. We visited a number of parks in the Paris area and also a few museums that I hadn't seen before.

Winter 2005

Sally and I decided to spend our Christmas vacation in Paris this year. My company closes between Christmas and New Years so it is like getting a free week of vacation. We left for Paris the Day after Christmas and spent 8 days in Paris. This was a fantistic trip. We saw a number of sites we hadn't see before and returned to some old favorites. We spent New Year's Eve on the Champs Elysée with about a half million other people. It snowed a lot of time that we were there, but it never got really cold and we enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere that the snow provided.
